Growing and changing and looking forward to new adventures

To say these past 24 months have been a wild ride would be an understatement. We have endured Shelter In Place, social distancing, masking up, eating too much, drinking too much, zooming WAY too much, hunger for physical touch, new hobbies, new slippers, and most of all shrinking pants! Like some of you, I decided to take my professional life in a different direction. I became Bec Health Chick.
The reason for the addition to Bec Wine Chick is that I got religion as they say. No, not in the obvious sense of the word. I am still committed to my religion as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses but I began to prioritize the way that I took care of myself. Danny and I started a nutritional reset in July of 2020 and from there it snowballed into a passion that I had kept under wraps for decades. We started on a plant-strong diet focused on whole-food, organic, and clean eating. We lost weight, gained confidence, lost our cravings for SAD (standard American diet) foods, gained an appreciation for all things natural, and started a new business balanced between Functional Nutrition Counseling and Holistic Wellness. I still enjoy a glass of wine with my family and friends, my favorites coming from local producers like Demetria who farm sustainably without pesticides, and Dry Farm Wines which come from all over the world but are still committed to sustainability.
